Santa came to town...at my Grandma's house:)!

This year "my Santa" had to come visit me in Ohio...I was a little concerned, but evidently he knows my Grandma so she made sure he was able to find me at her house. I waited all day...it got a little dark...and then I heard his jingle bells. He came right in Grandma's back door (because she does not have a chimney)...it was a fairytale come true!!!I have been telling everyone..."Santa brings me pink presents." That is just the one thing in life I have been confident of, recently. And sure enough, he brought me a pink present. How did he know?
It was not only a pink present, but my very favorite person gave me her phone...Dora!

We totally hit it off! It was a Christmas miracle:). Thank you Santa!

Happy Birthday...

Daddy had a birthday a little while ago. I loved cooking and wrapping his gift. I was a little confused why it was not a pink cake...but I was fine that he got pink candles. In one of Mommy's many mishaps of losing things...she temporarily lost our camera charger...but Uncle Web saved the day...again:).
Proud to be mixing Daddy's annual carrot cake.

Daddy loved his dinner and dessert.

I did too!

And he loved his gifts too.

Little Things

I made a gingerbread house with Mommy...here we have everything all laid out...picture perfect. What we don't have a picture of, is Mommy's mass confusion with the directions that said...icing should be the consistency of "toothpaste". It took her 2 days to figure it out.
At last we decorated. However, our consistency was more like...well...let's just say she tried her best.

Sweet.

A little girl with the perfect little house.

Snow? Nope, leaves.

While some of my family members are shoveling snow, I have only had to endure the hardship of raking leaves! And I just wonder if snow could be this much fun? It sure would be if, I was helping Daddy.

My Favorite Season, EVER!

We went to get our Christmas Tree! It was our 4th annual tree cutting (okay only my 3rd)...
Mommy made us wear silly Santa hats. I swear she comes up with a new tradition everyday. She is completely overfunctioning this year.
My parents are so fun.

Video of my support of the Christmas tree cutting.

All Aboard!

When we were in Dallas, I got to go on the Polar Express...which was my very first choo choo train ride. I saw Santa, snowmen, and a toymaker...an absolute wonderland for a two year old.

Brandon, Cynthia and Brody came with us too, which is one of Mommy's very best friends. Our visit was pitifully short...but one day when naps are no longer a priority Mommy assures me we will visit longer.

Another fun thing about my Thanksgiving was that cousin Jerry and Bethany came to our house. They brought little cousins Grayson and Landry. We had so much fun...but my most fun was just before they left. Mommy is getting a little stressed because I keep saying "where's Grayson" and she finds it more stressing because I keep saying, "I hear Grayson"??? Grayson was a very good boy...Mommy and Daddy were very impressed with his good listening skills at such a young age.

OH MY GOODNESS! Have you ever seen a cuter baby? I love her. She was just as sweet and innocent as she was cute.

Thanksgiving 2008

We went to Waxahachie, Texas for our Thanksgiving celebrations with our family. I got to put many names with faces and see many that I already knew. Regardless, everyone there has tried to be a part of my life in some way, which I am thankful for.

This is Daddy and his brother, Web. Sadly, we forgot the camera for the holiday festivities...so our picture postings are limited. However, this picture is a true representation of how silly they are!

This is Granny and her siblings. Not sure how long it had been since they had all been together...but it was pretty special they all came.

We went to our new fancy grocery store to get some fun picnic food to take to the park after Bedside Baptist on Sunday. They always have the prettiest things for me to look at.
What a good Daddy to hold my "pink purse".

Always stopping to smell the flowers.

Hiking

I love going on hikes...its a time I get to throw sticks and rocks! And kick stuff, like leaves.
We were looking for bears in this trees.

Mmmm...love that Mommy;).

So inappropriate...but kinda funny!

So, as any two year LOOOVES...its a nice walk. I think based on the temperatures today, last week was definitely our "Indian Summer". I got in a few walks and I think now its time to accept the darkness before dinner...and the long winter days ahead.

Mmmm...I just really love smelling the flowers. And I am so good about not picking them:).

A walk to Hillcrest to a favorite restaurant and a little stop to the grocery store. I just love my wagon...and now days...I love pushing it almost more than riding!

Just keeping things light!

Wooo Hooo

Way to go Daddy! You did it! Today Daddy sent in his last draft of his thesis to his professor in Texas!!! Now he can sleep!

Daddy says no official celebrating until we defend the thesis and get grades back...so don't tell him this is on my blog.
(he is such a cute Daddy)

A memory not lost...(now that sounds deep!) and a little bit of Mommy drama!

So...whenever Mommy has a rough day she comes home and kisses all over me...I have heard mention today of words I have never heard before...words like...engagement, Clymer Meadow, "perfect story", diamond, from there its all a boring blur. The gist is...she lost something (other than her keys) and it was the diamond that fell from her ring, who knows where?
Daddy assured her though that a ring does not take one moment away from that special time in their lives or how much he loves her. I think that made her feel better. Although, I do feel she is using my blog to inflict pain on others...or maybe this is just a warning to those who keep telling her "I almost lost my ring" stories. Regardless...Daddy has helped her see that "we" are healthy and happy...and that is more than we could ask for. (I heart him)

A battle not worth fighting...

So remember when you were a kid and you wore your tennis shoes to bed...and you swore to your parents that you could run faster because of them. Well, I found my first love. Its not shoes, its my purple coat. I wear it often and unnecessarily. "They" try to hide it, but I always find it peering through a crack in the door or in Daddy's closet...its beautiful, as well as the purple scarf, hat, and gloves that I got with it.

Getting ready for the big day!

Pumpkin face
I truly will eat anything...

and love on anything...except those who try to love on me.

Ha! You only wish you knew what I was thinking here!

My First Haircut (How cute is that!?)

I had my first haircut. It was like a salon...I got animal crackers, bubbles that smelled like strawberries, and a toy! Ewww...even a movie on my own personal flat screen T.V.

I was a superstar...really. I mean the best part for Mommy was they opened a Panera next door. People! We are getting options here in Little Rock...Panera, cute haircut places, and then the mountains all in the same city...it's like a dream come true.
