First, Happy Belated Valentines Day! This is the sweet picture that was going to go out on several Valentine cards...to make up for the missed Christmas cards. Oh well...
Thank you for your patience for so blatantly allowing me to neglect the blog. I appreciate the gentle nudges as I am sure the irritation of looking at the last blog heading over and over again became somewhat annoying. I am thankful to know that people are interested in our families lives.
February has been one of the most demanding months that the three of us have mutually experienced since we were a family of three. Our jobs have both been extremely demanding and it seems winter never gives you the energy you need. It seems any spare moment the three of us can find to spend together has been savored. However, March is just around the corner...and that is the relief of many projects and hopefully a vacation!
We took a last minute trip to Mount Magazine...one of our favorite places...a couple weeks ago. Roger had the opportunity, or rather the desire to inflict an unmeasurable amount of pain on himself, to join a 100 mile bike ride to the highest point in Arkansas.
Isabelle and I met him up there. We were able to nap, get a good swim in and have a nice lunch at the lodge all before Daddy arrived.

Isabelle is doing well. She grows so much everyday...to my dismay. She is at the wonderful stage of singing songs, quoting nursery rhymes, transitioning to a big girl bed and has even (extremely willingly) given up her pacifier. She remains a very independent child but very loving. She loves pink, her dolls, her Goo, her family and instructing everyone to do what she sees fit. It is hard still to get an "i love you" out of her, but she will at least reply with a "you love me?". She now prays to her baby Jesus (Christmas "baby Jesus" has her a little confused) at the dinner table now. She thanks him for her family and friends, shouts AMEN and then proudly announces "it's EAT TIME!". Love it.

She hugs all her little friends when she leaves as she says, "see you yater". Isabelle is wonderful reminder of "perspective" in our lives.
More posts to come...promise.
